Art Theory Expert

Gridnaut Recruiters is looking for Art History and Art Theory experts to author, review, and annotate technical tasks used to evaluate AI model performance on art history problems. Tasks involve producing original problem sets grounded in artworks, compositional analyses, and historical imagery; writing reference solutions; and applying structured quality checks.

Who we're looking for

• PhD in Art History or Art Theory, or MA with 3+ yrs teaching/curatorial/research, or BA with 5+ yrs teaching/tutoring/applied curatorial
• Working fluency in at least two of: art history periods, critical theory, visual analysis, curatorial practice, conservation
• Comfortable reading and interpreting artworks, compositional analyses, and historical imagery
• Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step

Compensation

Starting rate $67/hr. Strong contributors promoted based on task quality and throughput.

Commitment

Part-time, ~20 hrs/week, flexible schedule. Fully remote. Hourly.
