Bilingual German STEM Expert

Gridnaut Recruiting seeks a bilingual German STEM expert native to Switzerland (German-speaking), Germany, or Austria with biology, physics, or chemistry expertise to develop reasoning questions evaluating AI models. The role ensures scientific accuracy and instructional quality while maintaining clear German phrasing per regional academic standards.

Employment Type: Remote/Telecommute

Hourly Rate: $38-$43 USD

Minimum Commitment: 20 hours per week

Duration: Approximately 3-6 months

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design STEM Prompts: Create detailed prompts in German and/or English with multiple constraints and scientifically accurate instructions
• Establish Evaluation Standards: Develop comprehensive rubrics accounting for scientific rigor, linguistic clarity, and regionally appropriate terminology
• Conduct Model Testing: Run prompts through AI models and assess outputs for scientific accuracy, reasoning quality, and clarity
• Support QA Processes: Collaborate to ensure prompts and rubrics meet scientific standards before integration into official evaluation sets

Minimum Qualifications:

• Native-level German fluency (written); native to Switzerland, Germany, or Austria
• Strong English reading and writing proficiency
• BS or BA in Biology, Physics, or Chemistry
• Familiarity with undergraduate-level STEM topics
• Strong writing and critical thinking skills
• Independent work capability and deadline management

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years teaching, research, or applied STEM experience
• Experience with German-language STEM curricula or regional academic standards
