What you'll do

Gridnaut Recruiting is hiring a remote Bilingual Japanese STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety contractor to support a leading AI lab. You will contribute domain expertise to model training, evaluation, and structured task review. Work is fully remote, hourly, and flexible.

Who we're looking for

A PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field, ongoing or completed, with depth across relevant scientific subject areas
Native or near-native fluency in Japanese, plus business-level written English
Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield
Sound judgment around scientific safety and the responsible handling of dual-use information

Compensation

Pay range is $68–$72/hr depending on experience and demonstrated skill. Strong contributors may be promoted based on task quality and throughput.

Commitment

Flexible part-time hours, fully remote. Hourly contractor engagement.
