Biology Assessment Specialist

Gridnaut Recruiting seeks expert biologists to create and evaluate rigorous academic assessment content for an AI research initiative. Work involves authoring or reviewing multiple-choice questions across biology domains and establishing benchmarks to advance AI capabilities.

Location: Remote (US-based applicants only)

Pay Rate: $30-$75 per hour

Commitment: 10+ hours per week, asynchronous, fully remote work

Task Types:

• Question Authoring: Develop original, challenging multiple-choice questions in your biology specialty, rate difficulty, and submit for review.
• Question Verification: Assess pre-written questions for accuracy and clarity, edit as needed, rate difficulty, and document modifications.

Biology Domains:

Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Biomedical Science, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Miscellaneous Biology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Author questions testing deep conceptual understanding, not surface-level recall
• Ensure unambiguous, self-contained, and precisely defined questions
• Rate difficulty: Medium (intro undergraduate), Hard (advanced undergraduate), or Expert (post-graduate)
• Provide one correct answer plus nine plausible incorrect alternatives
• Write step-by-step Chain-of-Thought solutions in markdown
• Supply 1-5 academic references from peer-reviewed journals
• Flag clarity, completeness, precision, and solvability issues in verification tasks

Ideal Qualifications:

• PhD or doctoral candidate in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or related field
• Master's degree acceptable for exceptional subdomain expertise
• Graduate-level biological concepts, experimental design, and data interpretation proficiency
• Research publications or laboratory experience preferred
• Excellent written English; ability expressing complex ideas clearly
