What you'll do

Gridnaut Recruiting is hiring a remote COBOL Code Reading / Writing Expert contractor to support a leading AI lab. You will contribute domain expertise to model training, evaluation, and structured task review. Work is fully remote, hourly, and flexible.

Who we're looking for

3+ years hands-on COBOL development
Experience with mainframe environments (IBM z/OS)
Proficient in reading and writing COBOL code
Familiar with JCL, VSAM, DB2, or CICS
Legacy enterprise (banking, insurance, government) background

Compensation

Pay range is $80–$100/hr depending on experience and demonstrated skill. Strong contributors may be promoted based on task quality and throughput.

Commitment

Flexible part-time hours, fully remote. Hourly contractor engagement.
