Wunderlich-Malec is seeking a Controls Engineer for electrical/controls engineering on large-scale projects, including control system design, electrical panel design, and system commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design control systems from scratch including hardware, software, and network components
  • Perform electrical design, power calculations, and component selection
  • Develop PLC/DCS control logic and software implementations
  • Create technical documentation including schematics and test plans
  • Support project startup, debugging, and commissioning
  • Act as technical lead, guiding junior engineers and contractors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 10 years controls/automation engineering experience
  • Strong PLC programming with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or Siemens
  • Hardware and I/O system understanding
  • Ladder logic and structured text proficiency
  • Industrial automation or manufacturing background
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and commissioning experience
