Wunderlich-Malec is seeking a Controls Engineer for electrical/controls engineering on large-scale projects, including control system design, electrical panel design, and system commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design control systems from scratch including hardware, software, and network components
- Perform electrical design, power calculations, and component selection
- Develop PLC/DCS control logic and software implementations
- Create technical documentation including schematics and test plans
- Support project startup, debugging, and commissioning
- Act as technical lead, guiding junior engineers and contractors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- 10 years controls/automation engineering experience
- Strong PLC programming with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or Siemens
- Hardware and I/O system understanding
- Ladder logic and structured text proficiency
- Industrial automation or manufacturing background
- Hands-on troubleshooting and commissioning experience
