What you'll do

Gridnaut Recruiting is hiring a remote Database Systems Evaluation Expert contractor to support a leading AI lab. You will contribute domain expertise to model training, evaluation, and structured task review. Work is fully remote, project-based, and self-paced.

Who we're looking for

At least five years of hands-on database-engine internals experience, or a database-systems PhD.
Deep experience with storage engines, query execution, optimization, transactions, replication, or related low-latency systems.
Strong implementation skills and clear explanations of correctness and performance tradeoffs.
Design one challenging, self-contained database engineering task.
Build checks for correctness, failure handling, concurrency, retries, and regressions where relevant.

Compensation

Compensation is a fixed project fee of $2,200, paid on completion. Strong contributors may be offered additional engagements.

Commitment

Project-based engagement, fully remote. Fixed-fee deliverable.
