What you'll do

Gridnaut Recruiting is hiring a remote Expert Mainframe & Enterprise Engineer – COBOL / ABAP contractor to support a leading AI lab. You will contribute domain expertise to model training, evaluation, and structured task review. Work is fully remote, hourly, and flexible.

Who we're looking for

8+ years COBOL (IBM z/OS) or ABAP (SAP) experience
Production background in banking, insurance, ERP, or government
Familiar with JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2 or SAP Workbench
Comfortable with Linux/Docker and CI environments
Available 20–40 hrs/week, including some weekends

Compensation

Pay range is $130–$210/hr depending on experience and demonstrated skill. Strong contributors may be promoted based on task quality and throughput.

Commitment

Flexible part-time hours, fully remote. Hourly contractor engagement.
