Geography Expert

What you'll do

Author, review, and annotate technical tasks used to evaluate AI model performance on geography and earth sciences problems. Tasks involve producing original problem sets grounded in maps, satellite imagery, GIS output, and topographic figures; writing reference solutions; and applying structured quality checks.

• Who we're looking for
• PhD in Geography, Earth Sciences, or GIS, or MS in Geography or Earth Sciences with 3+ yrs applied research, cartography, or GIS experience, or BA/BS in Geography or Earth Sciences with 5+ yrs applied GIS, cartography, or field experience
• Working fluency in at least two of: physical geography, human geography, GIS, remote sensing, cartography
• Comfortable reading and interpreting maps, satellite imagery, GIS output, and topographic figures
• Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form

Compensation

Starting rate $65/hr. Strong contributors have the opportunity to be promoted based on task quality and throughput.

Commitment

Part-time, ~20 hrs/week, flexible schedule. Fully remote. Hourly.
