What you'll do

Gridnaut Recruiting is hiring a remote Mathematics Domain Expert contractor to support a leading AI lab. You will contribute domain expertise to model training, evaluation, and structured task review. Work is fully remote, hourly, and flexible.

Who we're looking for

Expert review: Assess mathematical tasks and model outputs, catching gaps in proofs, unjustified steps, incorrect generalizations, and arguments that read well but would not survive peer review.
Problem specs and reference solutions: Write precise problem statements and rigorous reference solutions and proofs that reflect how research mathematics is actually done.
Benchmarks: Design challenging, research-level problems and evaluation sets in your area of specialization.
Calibration: Work with other researchers and experts in adjacent fields to turn tacit expert judgment into explicit, teachable criteria.

Compensation

Pay range is $90–$140/hr depending on experience and demonstrated skill. Strong contributors may be promoted based on task quality and throughput.

Commitment

Flexible part-time hours, fully remote. Hourly contractor engagement.
