Gridnaut Recruiting is hiring a remote Mechanical Engineer contractor to support a leading AI lab. You will contribute domain expertise to model training, evaluation, and structured task review. Work is fully remote, hourly, and flexible.

Who we're looking for

Join a leading AI lab's cutting-edge GenAI team to be at the core of the AI revolution, where your expertise fuels the development of the most advanced AI models. 1.
You will review the quality of mechanical engineering tasks and model outputs, write the instruction specs and reference solutions that define what "correct" looks like, and help build the evaluations that show whether the model is genuinely improving.
We are looking for practicing engineers who have owned real designs, analyses, or systems in industry, not generalists. This is a W-2 employment position with Cincinnatus LLC, with the opportunity to be placed at a leading AI lab as part of their extended workforce.

Compensation

Pay range is $60–$90/hr depending on experience and demonstrated skill. Strong contributors may be promoted based on task quality and throughput.

Commitment

Flexible part-time hours, fully remote. Hourly contractor engagement.
