Empire State Mines (Division of Titan Mining) is seeking a Mine Health and Safety Director to lead health and safety operations at an underground zinc mining facility in Gouverneur, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a strong safety culture across mine operations
Conduct audits of underground and surface operations
Manage MSHA compliance and serve as primary contact for inspectors
Investigate incidents with root cause analysis
Oversee health and safety staff and training programs

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years in health and safety in the mining industry
Primary point of contact experience for MSHA inspector visits
Hazard evaluation, risk assessment, and incident investigation skills
Experience developing and maintaining safety culture with training capabilities
Underground mining background preferred
MSHA Blue Card IU/IS/MM unlimited certification preferred
