What you'll do
Author, review, and annotate technical tasks used to evaluate AI model performance on music and musicology problems. Tasks involve producing original problem sets grounded in scores, harmonic analyses, and spectrograms; writing reference solutions; and applying structured quality checks.
- Who we're looking for
- DMA or PhD in Music or Musicology, or MM with 3+ yrs teaching, performance, or research experience, or BM or BA in Music with 5+ yrs teaching, performance, or composition experience
- Working fluency in at least two of: theory, history/musicology, performance practice, composition, ethnomusicology
- Comfortable reading and interpreting scores, harmonic analyses, and spectrograms
- Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form
Compensation
Starting rate $67/hr. Strong contributors have the opportunity to be promoted based on task quality and throughput.
Commitment
Part-time, ~20 hrs/week, flexible schedule. Fully remote. Hourly.
