What you'll do

Gridnaut Recruiting is hiring a remote Specialty Materials Chemist — Pyrotechnics or Propulsion contractor to support a leading AI lab. You will contribute domain expertise to model training, evaluation, and structured task review. Work is fully remote, project-based, and self-paced.

Who we're looking for

Formulation chemist for pyrotechnics, propellants, or specialty energetic materials
Synthesis and characterisation of energetic compounds in a licensed or government facility
Performance and sensitivity testing — calorimetry, thermal stability, and small-scale safety testing
Scale-up and process safety for energetic material production
Solid or liquid rocket propellant development — binders, oxidisers, burn-rate modifiers

Compensation

Compensation is a fixed project fee in the $65–$75 range, paid on completion. Strong contributors may be offered additional engagements.

Commitment

Project-based engagement, fully remote. Fixed-fee deliverable.
