SWE (Terminal and CLI Dev Tools Focused)

Gridnaut Recruiting seeks experienced software engineers to evaluate AI-powered CLI coding agents on infrastructure debugging tasks. This involves solving TerminalBench tasks—real-world broken infrastructure scenarios in Docker containers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solve the same infrastructure debugging task with CLI-based AI coding agent
• Diagnose broken systems (databases, TLS, pipelines, replication, access control)
• Write bash scripts that fix the root cause and survive service restarts
• Compare and rank agent performance after each task

Ideal Qualifications:

• 3+ years systems engineering with hands-on infrastructure debugging
• Strong bash/shell scripting proficiency: you'll be writing non-trivial fix scripts
• Docker containerization experience using docker exec
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, nginx, TLS, systemd, log analysis
• Git/version control familiarity
• Experience with AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude) preferred

Project Timeline:

• Start: Immediate
• Duration: 1-2 weeks
• Commitment: Part-time (15-25 hours/week, flexible to 40 hours/week)

Compensation: $75-$80/hour (USD)
