Water Resources Project Engineer I

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a Water Resources Engineer with expertise in drainage design, stormwater management, hydraulic modeling, and erosion control in Herndon, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design drainage and stormwater management systems
• Perform hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS, HY-8, HydroCAD
• Design erosion and sediment control solutions
• Conduct complex hydrologic/hydraulic analysis
• Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited) with water resources focus
• 4-10 years of water resources engineering experience
• Virginia PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HY-8, HydroCAD modeling software
• TR-55/TR-20 hydrologic modeling experience
• Drainage and stormwater management design expertise
